When a texture is seamless its use broadens and you have a multitude of new options in how you can use it in print and animation applications. You are    no longer restricted to using it only at a    specific scale and position. The texture    tile can be scaled up or down and used to fill an object or background or it can be layered on top of or below a photograph in a variety of seamless sizes to add realism or a specific effect.
